FusionLoc® is a fully threaded PEEK suture anchor designed for secure soft-tissue fixation in shoulder repair procedures. Its open and vented anchor body allows bone to grow into and through the implant, supporting biological integration at the fixation site.
The extended thread profile increases engagement with the surrounding bone and is designed to provide strong resistance to pullout, including in poor-quality or osteoporotic bone.
The open architecture provides pathways for bone ingrowth into the anchor. It also reduces the amount of implant material remaining within the bone, which may help reduce the potential for a foreign-body response.
Threads extend along the anchor body to maximise bone engagement and distribute fixation across a greater surface area. This design is intended to improve pullout resistance, particularly in lower-density bone.
The anchor is manufactured from polyether ether ketone (PEEK), a non-absorbable, biocompatible polymer widely used in orthopaedic implants. PEEK is radiolucent and produces less imaging artefact than metallic implants, supporting postoperative assessment of the repair site.
The inserter extends to the tip of the anchor to help distribute insertion stress and transmit torque more effectively during implantation.
FusionLoc® is available preloaded with high-strength sutures or combinations of suture and suture tape, depending on the selected product configuration.
Published ReJoin catalogue information lists both diameters with an anchor length of approximately 19.5 mm. Available configurations include double-loaded #2 sutures and combinations of #2 suture with suture tape. Local availability may vary.
FusionLoc® is designed for the fixation and reattachment of soft tissue to bone. Within the ReJoin shoulder portfolio, it is primarily positioned for rotator cuff repair and other shoulder soft-tissue repair procedures, subject to the approved indications for use in each market.
